Betsy Hammer

Betsy Hammer is a professional singer/songwriter, vocal coach, and artist on the boutique RSM Records label in Hawaii. Her lifelong connection to music began at an extraordinarily young age—she started writing her first song at just three years old.

After graduating from George W. Hewlett High School in Hewlett, New York, Betsy attended the Ohio University School of Music, College of Fine Arts, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music degree. Classically trained, she performed with Ohio University’s Opera Department and received the Mary Blayney Award as the Outstanding Graduate in Music Education. She later continued postgraduate vocal studies through the Masters of Voice program at The Cleveland Institute of Music.

Betsy has sung and recorded in seven languages and has enjoyed a wide-ranging career spanning songwriting, recording, theater, film, television, music production, and vocal coaching.

In Nashville, she recorded with Neil Young on his album Old Ways, singing on “Once An Angel.” Her original songs have been recorded by artists including Karla Taylor, Kenny Marks, The Stevens Sisters, Randy Kohrs, and The Thrasher Brothers. Her work has also appeared in television and other media, and she is the recipient of a 2015 ASCAP Songwriting Award.

After moving to Los Angeles, Betsy worked extensively with Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, serving as Associate Music Supervisor on numerous films including I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, You Don't Mess With The Zohan, Bedtime Stories, Grown Ups, Just Go With It, Jack and Jill, and Grown Ups 2.

Her film and vocal work has included projects such as Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights, Hubie Halloween, Sing 2, Lemonade Mouth, and Pitch Perfect 2. Her career has also given her opportunities to work with artists and performers including Cher, Joe Walsh, Lindsey Buckingham, Debbie Harry, Jackson Browne, Ann Wilson, Rick Springfield, Don Felder, Jeff Lynne, Slash, and many others.

Betsy was also Associate Producer of the award-winning music documentary BANG! The Bert Berns Story and has continued to work as a vocal coach with both established and emerging performers.

After appearing as a guest on Fanatical DreamHer, Betsy was invited to write an original song for the podcast. She brought together her songwriting and music-producing partners Susan Sheridan and Larry Treadwell to create “Dream Her,” with Mandy Rose Wolf adding the vocals and harmonies that helped bring the song to life.

Larry Treadwell

Songwriter, Engineer & Producer

Composer, songwriter, musician, producer, and arranger Larry Treadwell began playing guitar at age 15 in New Haven, Connecticut. His early musical journey eventually led to the band Repairs, which was signed to Motown Records by legendary Rolling Stones producer Andrew Loog Oldham.

Repairs opened for artists including Stevie Wonder, Rare Earth, and Aerosmith, and Larry was hired by Oldham to play guitar on Metamorphosis, featuring recordings by the Rolling Stones.

After moving to Los Angeles, Larry expanded into composing music for television, including work for the series Fame. In 1986, he joined Thomas Dolby’s Lost Toy People, playing on the albums Aliens Ate My Buick and Astronauts and Heretics and touring nationally and internationally.

Throughout his career, Larry has composed music for films and television programs appearing across ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, The CW, Nickelodeon, A&E, Disney, MTV, TBS, and Oxygen. His credits include projects such as Victorious, iCarly, King of the Hill, Guiding Light, Joan of Arcadia, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, General Hospital, One Life to Live, My Super Sweet 16, Fame, and others.

Larry received a Grammy nomination for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying a Vocal for Thomas Dolby’s “Key to Her Ferrari.”

As a guitarist, Larry has played for artists including Thomas Dolby, Cyndi Lauper, The Pointer Sisters, Kelly Clarkson, Earth, Wind & Fire, and the Rolling Stones. His extensive production and recording career has also included work at Simple Roger Studios and Treadwell Recording Studio.
